Silliman University

Silliman University, founded in 1901 by American Presbyterian missionaries, is the first Protestant university in the Philippines and one of the oldest in Asia. Located in the scenic coastal city of Dumaguete, the university is renowned for its marine biology program and its campus that stretches along the shores of the Visayan Sea.

Silliman is a Center of Excellence in Nursing, Biology, and Teacher Education. The university's Marine Laboratory is internationally recognized for marine biodiversity research. With a strong liberal arts tradition and over 100 programs, Silliman attracts students from across the Philippines and abroad.
